Coaching, Consulting, TrainingOur goal is to strengthen church leaders by connecting them with excellent coaching so they can identify and address the challenges they face in their ministry. FAQs
What exactly is coaching?Coaching identifies and clarifies challenges to be addressed, then helps create effective action plans to deal with those challenges. Coaching is not therapy, counselling, mentoring, or spiritual direction. Coaching comes alongside to determine next steps. It energizes. It encourages. What does a coaching relationship look like?
A coaching relationship is entirely focused on getting the results you – the client – want. You set the agenda. The coach’s job is to make sure the agenda doesn’t get lost. Your job as client is to focus on the changes you’re making and the challenges you’re addressing. How frequently do we meet? The frequency of coaching sessions varies from weekly to monthly depending on the challenges you’ve identified and the action plans you’re pursuing. Who are the coaches? All our coaches are themselves engaged in church ministry. Each coach has gone through a training program and has been certified through CoachNet. What does coaching cost? The Canadian MB Conference subsidizes the cost of coaching for its pastors and ministry leaders. We expect you to express your commitment to the coaching relationship by paying $30 per session. The coaching fee for non–Mennonite Brethren pastors and leaders is $65 per session. How can I get more information or find a coach? Please call John Neufeld at 1-888-669-6575. He will be happy to answer your further questions about coaching or to connect you with one of our certified coaches. How can I become a coach? We offer a coach training course every year. It involves a significant commitment of time and energy, and a training fee. Please call John Neufeld at 1-888-669-6575 for more information.
